Kalina King Regional Director for General Assembly Asia

Kalina is the regional director for General Assembly Asia. General Assembly is a global, venture-backed education company founded in New York City in 2011 that has since expanded to 12 cities across 4 continents. GA offers practical education in digital skills, focusing on the disciplines of technology, business and design.

Kalina previously worked in investment banking and asset management, most recently helping launch Xingtai China Consumer Fund as a spinout of private equity firm Lunar Capital based in Shanghai/Hong Kong.

Kalina is on the Technology Advisory Council for The Women’s Foundation Hong Kong and a contributor toJUMPSTART magazine in Hong Kong.

Kalina enjoys life-long learning, technology and creativity in all expressions; she is also a co-founder of art and events space lightstage, the largest ground-floor art and creative space in Hong Kong’s central district, and a member of theChinati Contemporary Council. Kalina graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Molecular Biology and Certificate with the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and studied Mandarin at National Taiwan University.
